Default TW 3 button key fob battery replacement

    Hello.
i can't believe i cant work this out but i am stumped. I got the shell open Ok and can see the naughty CR2032 battery staring at me. it is held in place by 3 clasps. The ones at 1 o clock and 11 o clock seem to be fixed and dont want to be flexed at all. I suspect the large clasp at 6 o clock with the + plus sign
on it needs to be moved out of the way- but how? I can see the 2 solder wires leading to the PCB under this clasp which I am scared of breaking. Any ideas?
    thanks tom

2 minutes later i had another look and presto. i needed to slide the battery towards the plus sign and out it popped. As it turns out the battery is OK, i suspect a broken connection in the PCB. a problem for another day. this is the spare and the key will still open the drivers door and start the car at least.

Up till now, I have not had any problems with my keys or remotes or remote batteries, so I am not overly experienced with this.

I have carried out a search using the term >> remote batteries aussiemagna<<

    https://www.google.com/search?q=remo...ih=594&dpr=1.1

Note that in the above quite numerous results there will be many that are not useful to you, and also some dealing with the 380 model, but it is the best that I can do.

I also did the same search using "images" as an additional parameter and found this thread:

    https://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=64257

which in it has a link to this possibly useful page:

    https://martybugs.net/magna/remote.cgi

I hope that this has been of some help.

P.S. For future searching use your desired term followed by "aussiemagna", and that should help you get the results you need.

There is a known design fault in the remote that is prone to breakage. Removing tbe battery stresses the existing fault and if it wasnt already broken, likely is now.

Some years ago i bought an upgraded remote that has had the soldering deficiency fixed. It was about fifty bucks, iirc. But to be honest, nowadays the remotes can be bought cheaply on fleabay for half that, in contrast to tbe ridiculous prices Mitsubishi wanted for them. I think they were asking at least 150 each when i queried tbem.

My suggestion is to pick up a couple and always have at least one spare remote tuned to your car, ready for use.

    Cheers,
